Yeah, so I blatantly ripped off Ashen's idea and made a devlog. I was sick of waiting for updates to hers - you can't blame me.
I'm trying to finish all of the battle character sprites by tomorrow. I started off just using REFMAP stuff, but it looks like I'm going to have to do some heavy editing to get them to look how I want them to. I redid all of the face sets last week (changed from Atelier rips to edited Roco sets - in my opinion, a big upgrade) and I also made some progress on illustrating the weapons. I might use a few rips for that as well - my pixel art on a tiny scale like that is a little bit lacking.
Anyway, the graphics and the battle system are my priorities at the moment. Hopefully I can fit in some major progress before I leave on Wednesday.
